Cacao Nibs are Cacao Paste that have been lightly roasted, separated from their husks and broken into smaller pieces. This product is an excellent source of antioxidants, with a pleasant semi-bitter flavor. Cacao Nibs can be eaten as a snack or added to baked goods and other dishes for added crunch and chocolaty flavor. They are also a popular ingredient with beer brewers and wineries.

Our nibs are lightly roasted. They can be further roasted to acquire different roasting strengths for different flavor profiles. They have a very robust delicious chocolate aroma, characteristic of the pure aroma Trinitario bean. Due to the nature of the product, Cacao Nibs are not guaranteed to be completely free of foreign materials, such as cacao shell and husk. See disclaimer below.

Storage

The product has a shelf life of 12 months in original packaging. They should be stored in a clean, dry, ventilated area which is free of any foreign odors. Ideal storage conditions are below 85 F (30 degrees C) with less than 50% relative humidity.

Product is packaged in food grade PE liners within corrugated boxes weight of 50 lbs. (net).

Cacao Nibs are used as nut or chocolate chip substitute as a flavor kick in cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, ice cream, cookies, smoothies, shakes, energy bars, coffee, beverages, beer brewing (be aware of fat content), bean-to-bar chocolate making, and teas.
